The Advanced Journal of Science and Innovation (AJSI) accepts manuscripts submitted through its online submission system. Authors should read the journal’s Aims and Scope, Article Types, Manuscript Preparation, Publishing Ethics, and Copyright and Licensing policies before submitting a manuscript.
Submission of a manuscript confirms that the work is original, has not been published previously, is not under consideration by another journal or publisher, and has been approved by all listed authors.
1. Before Submission
Before beginning a submission, authors should ensure that:
• The manuscript falls within the journal’s aims and scope.
• The appropriate article type has been selected.
• All authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript.
• The manuscript is original and is not under review, accepted, or published elsewhere.
• The manuscript has been prepared in accordance with the journal’s Manuscript Preparation requirements.
• All necessary ethical approvals, participant consent, permissions, and declarations have been obtained.
• All required files are complete and ready for upload.
2. Submission Method
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the AJSI online submission system.
The corresponding author must create an account or log in to the journal system and complete the required submission steps. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all author names, affiliations, email addresses, and manuscript metadata are entered accurately.
Manuscripts submitted by email will not normally be considered unless the editorial office has specifically requested submission by email.
3. Required Submission Files
Authors should upload the following files, as applicable:
• Title Page.
• Anonymized Main Manuscript File.
• Tables, if submitted separately.
• Figures or illustrations, if submitted separately.
• Supplementary materials, datasets, appendices, code, questionnaires, or multimedia files, where applicable.
• Cover Letter, where applicable.
• Ethics approval, informed consent, permissions, or other supporting documentation, where requested by the editorial office.
4. Title Page
The Title Page should be uploaded separately and should include:
• Full manuscript title.
• Full names of all authors.
• Institutional affiliations, including department, institution, city, and country.
• ORCID iD for each author, where available.
• Full name and email address of the corresponding author.
• Acknowledgements.
• Funding statement.
• Conflict-of-interest declaration.
• Author contribution statement.
• Data availability statement.
• Ethics approval and informed-consent statements, where applicable.
• Declaration regarding the use of artificial intelligence tools, where applicable.
5. Anonymized Main Manuscript File
To support the journal’s double-anonymized peer-review process, the Main Manuscript File must not contain author names, affiliations, email addresses, acknowledgements, funding information, institutional identifiers, tracked changes, comments, document properties, or any other information that could reveal the authors’ identities.
Authors should ensure that the file name does not contain the name of any author, institution, or research project.
Self-citations should be written in a neutral manner. Authors should avoid wording that reveals their identity, such as “in our previous study” or “at our institution,” where this could compromise anonymous review.
6. Cover Letter
A cover letter is recommended and should include:
• The manuscript title.
• The article type.
• A brief explanation of the manuscript’s originality and relevance to AJSI.
• Confirmation that the manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration elsewhere.
• Confirmation that all authors have approved the manuscript and agree to its submission.
• Disclosure of conflicts of interest and funding, if not fully included on the Title Page.
• A statement regarding ethical approval and informed consent, where applicable.
• A statement regarding the use of artificial intelligence tools, where applicable.
• Any additional information that may assist the editor in evaluating the submission.
Authors may suggest potential reviewers; however, the editorial team is not obligated to use the suggested reviewers and will independently assess their suitability and absence of conflicts of interest.
7. Submission Metadata
Authors must enter complete and accurate metadata into the online submission system, including:
• Article title.
• Abstract.
• Keywords.
• Names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors.
• Corresponding author details.
• ORCID iDs, where available.
• References, where requested by the system.
• Funding information and grant numbers, where applicable.
• Language of the manuscript.
Accurate metadata improves the discoverability, indexing, citation, and long-term accessibility of published articles.
8. Declarations Required at Submission
During submission, authors may be asked to confirm the following statements:
• The submission is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
• All authors meet the journal’s authorship requirements.
• All authors have approved the manuscript and its submission.
• All sources of funding and all conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
• Ethical approval and informed consent have been obtained where required.
• Permission has been obtained for any copyrighted material reproduced in the manuscript.
• The manuscript complies with the journal’s Publishing Ethics and Copyright and Licensing policies.
• Any substantive use of generative AI or AI-assisted tools has been disclosed.
9. After Submission
After submission, the corresponding author will receive an acknowledgement from the journal system.
The manuscript will undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine whether it is suitable for peer review. The editorial office may return a manuscript to the authors for technical corrections, missing files, incomplete metadata, formatting problems, or required declarations before the editorial assessment or peer-review process can continue.
Submission does not guarantee that a manuscript will be sent for peer review or accepted for publication.
10. Revisions
When revisions are requested, authors must submit:
• A revised manuscript.
• A detailed response letter addressing each editor and reviewer comment.
• A clean revised version and, where requested, a marked version showing changes.
• Updated declarations, permissions, or supporting files where necessary.
Revised manuscripts should be submitted through the journal system by the stated deadline. If additional time is needed, authors should contact the editorial office before the deadline.
